Welcome back to the Catapulting Commissions podcast with your host, Anthony Garcia. Today, Anthony is going to wrap up the miniseries outlining some of the primary ideas in the Catapulting Commissions book. This week’s episode is centered around setting up and establishing a positive support system.

Establishing a positive support system is the difference between massive success and failure. There is no middle ground here. The culture you breed for yourself or your team starts and ends with a positive support system.

Anthony breaks down 3 steps you can take to set up a positive support system that is efficient, functional, and necessary to achieve your next sales goal.

He offers a simple piece of advice: If you don’t eliminate your sources of doubt that surround you and your goals, you will not achieve them. Every person is influenced by someone, something, somewhere. Once you’d identified these influences, it’s time to remove yourself from the negative ones—those who intentionally influence you in the wrong direction. For the unintentional, it can take more work, but it’s important to address it.

The second area Anthony talks about is the inner circle. These people can include something called an “accountability buddy”—someone not in your family who has a similar goal, an understanding of your industry, and is someone who is going to make sure you’re taking the appropriate steps towards your goal. Another person in this circle is your mentor—someone you look to for guidance. These relationships only work if you share with them your goals and how they can help you.

Anthony goes on to point out that you need to eliminate doubt from yourself. You are the one who is going to execute all the goal setting, planning, and effort you’ve put in. You are your worst critic. You have to acknowledge and accept that you are responsible for creating an environment that breeds success.


That environment? The power-circle of accountability.
